The professional field of medical lab technician covers a broad spectrum of clinical biology including field such as clinical chemistry, microbiology, hematology and that of anatomical pathology including cytology and histology. He or she needs to be able to stay abreast of fast changing technology and offers support to medical diagnosis and treatment.In the discipline of task areas of

medical lab technician the main emphasis must lie on procedures which precedes diagnosis, confirm a diagnosis or check result of a treatment. thus a medical lab technician may be required to take samples, perform investigation and functional test,provide technical inventories, process lab results and undertake quality controls. He may have to involve in scientific research Such research relates to development of new technology, application with need character the students are trained and exposed to protocols laid down NABL. Students learn to handle and operate equipments independently efficiently and responsibly
